Just wanted to share the piece that I made for my sister for her birthday. This is a luneville embroidery piece that is hand stitched and then placed in a vintage frame that I found at an antique market in Strasbourg, France. My sister collects perfume bottles, so this embroidery will be perfect to hang on the wall beside the bottles.
This is a form of hand embroidery called Luneville or Tambour embroidery. In 2009 I earned a certificate in Haute Couture Beadwork and Embroidery from Lesage (an atelier owned by Chanel).
