Making my way through the streets of Paris past the shadows of the Eiffel Tower, I reached the Shangri La Hotel. This is where fashion designer, Charlotte Licha choose to premier her first Haute Couture collection. I was escorted upstairs to an elegant room and shown to my seat. The hotel itself is spectacular with large chandeliers and ornate gold trimmed walls. The music started, the lights went down and the show started. I was in bead and embroidery heaven! The collection was an embroidery feast for the eyes filled with beautiful sparkling beads and elaborate stitches. Full of elegance, the designs were sculpted in colors of yellow, pale blue, orange and black. This was a collection that I would have loved to work on. I would have been in heaven sewing all those millions of beads onto the cloth! I am looking forward to seeing her next couture collection in July!
