Paris Trend – The Chunky Scarf

Trend Alert!  While walking around Paris this past month, I have noticed the size of scarves are getting larger and larger by the day.  It has not been a really cold winter here in France, but if you looked at how much the people are wrapped up, you would think otherwise.  It seems like the bigger the better here when wearing a wool scarf.  If you are able to wrap it around your neck about 150 times, then you are on trend!  I must admit that it did look cozy all bundled up in a warm scarf, so I broke down and bought one myself!  It does take a little getting used to wearing these absurdly large pieces around your neck.  I quickly realized that I couldn’t look down and see inside my purse when trying to pay for something, and the back comes so far up the back of my head, I have to tuck my hair inside!  Mine is a black knitted wool scarf with a soft white lining from C&A, but if you are not in France to buy one I have listed some of my favorites from Etsy that you can order!

Thank’s for the alert! I feel forewarned and will try to contain myself when I see this for myself on the streets of Paris!
