Paris Fashion Week started yesterday, and Moon Young Hee showed a strong collection for Spring/Summer 2013. Luckily, I had a ticket to this show held in the Marais district of Paris. Going into a space called the Garage, I made my way through the photographers and was taken to my seat to await the show. Once everyone was inside the venue, the lights went down and the models took the catwalk.
This season, the designer created a story of masculine versus feminine, bringing together extreme wide-leg pants, shorts and paneled dresses in coated linen. The colors were neutral, and the draping and layering of fabrics created sculptural pieces.
Some of the pieces did cross the line from clothing to more of an art piece with layered fabrics that almost drowned the models. However, overall the collection was a great success showing that Moon Young Hee can do both great tailored and draped pieces.
Good post however , I was wanting to know if you could write a litte more on this
subject? I’d be very grateful if you could elaborate a little bit more. Bless you!
